SPRING RECESS NEW RELEASE
I Am Not Your Negro

April 10–17, 2017
The Museum presents a limited theatrical release of the Academy Award-nominated documentary by acclaimed director Raoul Peck in which he envisions the book James Baldwin never finished. Baldwin began Remember This House in 1979; it was to be a revolutionary, personal account of the lives and successive assassinations of three of his close friends—Medgar Evers, Malcolm X, and Martin Luther King, Jr. At the time of Baldwin’s death in 1987, he left behind only 30 completed pages. Peck’s film is a radical, up-to-the-minute examination of race in America, combining Baldwin’s original words with a bounty of archival material.

Spring Recess Special: Tickets for all youth (up to age 17) and students (18+) are $7.00 with valid ID, and include gallery admission.
