MoMI is partnering with independent distributors to bring Virtual Cinema offerings directly to Museum members and patrons for home viewing. Each ticket directly supports the Museum.

Tickets prices vary by film, ranging from $3.99 to $12, some with discounts for MoMI members (please check your member email for codes or instructions). 

In Silico (through May 16)
Dir. Noah Hutton. U.S., 2020, 83 mins. Ten years in the making, In Silico charts a renowned neuroscientist’s decade-long attempts to simulate the human brain on supercomputers. The filmmaker, initially drawn in by the project’s audaciousness, gathers observations and critiques from a range of experts in the field, and must ultimately come to terms with the limitations and his own expectations regarding such an enormous undertaking. In Silico was supported in part by a production grant from the Alfred P. Two Gods (May 21–30)
Dir. Zeshawn Ali. US, 2021, 82 mins. The beautifully observed Two Gods follows Hanif, a Black Muslim casket maker and ritual body washer in Newark, New Jersey, who yearns to save the lives of two young men in his community. Shot in exquisite black and white, Zeshawn Ali’s auspicious feature debut is a lyrical meditation on the importance of community and passing down generational knowledge through faith, brotherhood, and redemption. World premiered at Hot Docs Film Festival. Official selection at Full Frame Festival and DOC NYC. Ali was a participant in last year’s First Look Festival. An 8 Above release.
