Wednesdays with Wiseman is an online screening series of documentaries by the legendary Frederick Wiseman, who has spent his fifty-plus-year career making unforgettable films devoted to the exploration of American institutions. Alongside these films, we are pleased to present a series of new conversations between Wiseman and some fellow filmmakers. This series is in anticipation of Wiseman’s latest documentary, the acclaimed City Hall

Access to the film and conversation is $8 for each event.

Ballet
October 21–November 4
Wiseman turns his camera on the American Ballet Theatre, one of the most distinguished ballet schools in the world.

Followed by a discussion between Wiseman and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, Best Documentary Academy Award winner for Free Solo.

Sinai Field Mission
October 28–November 11
Sinai Field Mission documents the day-to-day activities of the diplomats and electronic technicians operating the United States Sinai Mission, the early warning system established in 1976 to help carry out the disengagement agreement between Egypt and Israel following the 1973 war. 

Followed by a discussion between Wiseman and Errol Morris, Best Documentary Academy Award winner for The Fog of War.

Hospital
November 4–November 18
Hospital shows the daily activities of New York City’s bustling Metropolitan Hospital. 

Followed by a discussion between Wiseman and Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady, the Oscar nominated directors of the documentary Jesus Camp.
